At Bloomskincare we are happy to introduce you to a fabulous Korean skincare routine.
Asian women believe that natural beauty is all about achieving a healthy radiance from within. It’s a bit more extensive than what you’re probably used to and while it may take a little longer, the results are worth it after all. Please note you can customise your routine by adding or removing products as you see fit. You can use them in any order or time which is suitable for you. We will give you some friendly advice on what users can maximise the effect of products we provide. And the good news is, you only have to use a small amount when applying the product to your skin to achieve amazing results!
Morning Korean Skincare Routine:
1. Water based cleanser/foam
Softly cleanses the skin and leaves skin supple. The gentle formula doesn’t strip or dry out your skin. After using a cleanser/ foam you get a feeling of freshness and comfort.
Wet your face and massage the foam/cleanser with soft circular motions, then rinse off.
Soothing and restoring your skin PH balance. It prepares the skin better to help absorb the active ingredients in the care products. It is recommended you use this straight after a cleanser. Spray onto the face or use your finger tips to apply and let it absorb. Tap gently the remains of the toner into the skin or remove it with a cotton pad.
Essences are less concentrated then serums. Their main purpose is to moisturise the skin, to stimulate cells renewal, improve skin texture and make the most out of the products that follow. Apply a few drops of essence and gently spread over the skin.
These products are formulated with active ingredients that target specific needs by skin type, such as hyper-pigmentation, acne, wrinkles and dehydration. Apply and gently massage into the skin. Pay special attention to the problem areas.
A moisturiser designed for your skin type, creates a barrier that will lock in all the beneficial ingredients that you’ve just applied, instead of letting them evaporate out of your skin. We also recommend using special moisturiser/cream/gel for skin around the eyes as it is thinner and more easily dehydrated. Use a small amount of cream by using gentle rubbing/ massage movements.
6. BB cream/cushions with SPF or sunscreen
To protect your skin from harmful sun UV rays every morning finish off your skincare routine with either a dedicated sunscreen or a BB cream/cushions that includes SPF.
Using this last will effectively mask skin imperfections, and create a smooth, healthy looking skin tone. Finishing off your morning routine apply the cream in soft circular motions for flawless-looking skin.
Night Skincare Routine
NIGHT KOREAN SKINCARE ROUTINE is absolutely the same as the morning except from the first step. Before washing your face, it is recommended that you use an Oil based cleanser to remove makeup, SPF and other impurities. This allows for effortless cleansing rather than tugging at your skin to remove that last bit of mascara. Shake well before using. Use a cotton pad with the remover. Apply to the desired area and hold for several seconds, then wipe.
Additional products that you can add to your Korean skincare routine. Use 2-3 times a week:
1. Sheet Masks
Single-use sheet masks are mostly formulated with the same active ingredients as serums, but you can use them as necessary. A good arsenal of sheet masks enables you to customize your routine depending on how your skin is feeling. Use it after a toner.
Place a mask over the face starting from the chin area. Remove after 15-20 minutes and gently massage the remaining essence/serum/ ampoule to the skin. The mask does not require rinsing after use
A gentle, non-irritating exfoliator promotes cell turnover, unclog pores, helps better product absorption and keeps skin looking youthful.
Peels allow dead skin to simply roll off with a mix of botanical and fruit extracts.
Apply a small amount of product. Gently massage the face with circular motions, avoiding the eyelids and mouth. Rinse with warm water.
